London Street Photography

"There Is Nowhere Else Like London, Nothing At All. Anywhere"

Vivienne Westwood

I love the art of street photography, you can never plan how your photos are going to look, you need to work quick and have an eye for what will work.
These are a few I shoot back in early March and it true street photography and English weather I wasn't expecting the rain and had to work with what was thrown at me. London is the best place to shoot streets as there's always something going on and even in the rain people are still shopping, (crazy!!)

Hope you enjoy these, sorry for such a short blog post and also the lack of them over the last few weeks. life easily runs away with me sometimes.

Inspiration

So Inspiration post are fast becoming one of my favorite posts of the week, there a place for me to share a little bit of whats going on in my life. Sadly this week's one is a little late, but there's been so much going on for me this week I've let my blogging slip a little. however I'm planing on getting back on track after Fashion Week, Even though I'm only doing LFW from home its still taking up a lot of my time.

So this weeks photo is one from Tumbler, (Check out my Tumbler here). This photo inspires me to set and keep to plans I crate for myself. In anything we do in life having a plan from A to B really helps organize and keep us on the right path, although these sometimes don't always go to plan and things can change in life.

Things are always changing in my life, one of the big ones for me was last year. I was all set to go to university in September; something I had waited for for years, however when it came to results I didn't make the cut. This was a huge set back for me but after having some time to feel down about everything. I started to look at what it was I wanted in my life and had a massive think about everything, from that came some different life wishes/goals things such as this blog, saving money so that I could move out and getting some of my photography published are just a few. All of these are doable but I've learnt I need to work for them, I didn't work as hard as I could have with my A-levels and that meant I didn't reach my goal (university). We all need to wish about what we want in life but we also need to set reasonable goals/plans. so lets all start setting plans that are reachable to reach, you always feel so much better if you complete something yourself. I'm a strong believer of if you can wish it you can do it, you just need a lot of hard work and a good plan to get there. anything is possible.

So there's my inspiration for this week, I feel like i have gone off on one in this post that's what happens when you'r writing at 11 at night on a Sunday night, sorry if this post has confessed anyone, i promises I'll be back on top of everything next week. thank you for taking the time to read this post feel free to comment below.

Fashion Week From Home

So as we all know London Fashion Week kicked off to day, and it's the time now when social media goes a little bit cray, with 50 new posts an hour on Instagram not to mention the number of Tweets going out while a catwalk is going on. but we don't all get to go to LFW and this is for many reasons, I have always wanted to attend this event even if its just standing in Somerset house snapping people as they rush from catwalk to catwalk, but I've never made the trip up as its a little to far for me to go without staying over night and then that cost to much. However hopefully when I live in London I'll be able to post from LFW.
However over the past few years I've learnt that you don't have to go to fashion week to be able to talk about it or even stay up to date with the trends, Here are my 5 tips for following fashion week online. This is some thing I've been doing for a long time, there's so much that you can see from the comfort of your own home. I wanted to share with you my fashion week from home tips for anyone who is unable to attend fashion week and hey being at home is a lot less crazy.

New look, Ideas and Plan. What I'm all about

New Look

Over the last few months my blog has had many different themes and directions, this came down to me as a blogger trying to find what it is I wanted to talk about. my name was a big thing for me, trying to find something that worked with what I was posting and sounded appealing was one of the hardest things for me. With my blog having many different names over the past 6 months going from lulu photography to Lucy Burt photography and finally to Lucy Alice with many more in between. how my blog looked was a big thing for me, getting the look and colour scheme right has taken me a long time, last week I made the move to change my web address something I had been thinking about for a long time but had been putting off as it would mean I would lose my followers. however it was something that wasn't working with my blog and needed changing so that every thing linked up nicely and give an over all clean professional look. the look of my blog is something I'm now happy with and I now feel like I can start fresh and build the blog I have always wanted. so please if you haven't already follow me on Bloglovin so that you don't miss the things to come.

New Ideas

What I post has changed as well, I started this blog as a space where I could post my photo shoots and ideas behind them however over the past few months my direction has changed, I no longer want to keep this blog as a photography blog, as I feel there are things that are happening in my life that I want to share with the world.
Photography is still a big thing from me, however expect to see more inspiration and lifestyle posts coming over this year.

New Plan

At the beginning of February I did my first post about inspiration, (Click Here) I talked about planning and how I wanted to blog more over 2015. I started a blogging planner and hoped to post two times a week, one on a Wednesday talking about an inspiration photo that I had found and the other over the weekend looking at a photo shoot that I had done. However this has also changed, I no longer feel two post a week is enough and although I will be sticking to my two already planned posts I hope to add in another. this added post will be more of a lifestyle one, looking at things I've gotten up to or something I wish to share with everyone.

Planning this blog is something that I have wanted to do for a long time however never really knew how to start, and hey I still don't really know what I'm doing. Blogging is becoming more and more popular within this generation and I think that's great, It's a way for us to have our say and tell the world what matters to us. I'm not doing this blog to get famous and I don't even know if anyone will ever read this but for me this blog is It's a place where I can talk about what it is that matters in my life and show the world my inspiration. so thank you if you have taken the time to read this post of any of my posts, I just want to say thank you.

Don't loss me as a blogger

So over the past few months my blog has had many different names, themes and directions when posting, however in the past few weeks I feel like I have found what it is I want to talk about when blogging and have finally found a name and theme I like.
I wanted to change my web address so that it matched my blog name, I feel better when everything links up and I don't have 5 different names to my blog. sadly that mean I have to reconnect to Bloglovin this means that if you want to keep following me, you'll need to re follow me on my new web address. This can be found on my Bloglovin profile Here.
I know this is a pain but you'll be missing out on some amazing blogging this year if you don't.
Grate things are always around the corner.

Water Flowers

So this post is a little late, I was hoping to get it done and up by Saturday night (this would have kept to my blogging plan) however last weekend I was in London seeing my other half over the Valentines weekend.(blog post about that coming soon) and time kind of ran away with me. Anyway back to this post, this is a shoot I did at the begging of 2015, expended on one that I had done before.

Flowers and baths are starting to become a thing for me. I love the way you can get some amazing photos, with the look of the water on both the model and flowers. I also fined with this kind of shoot you can never get bored, there's so many different ways you can photograph flowers in a bath and every shoot is different, that's one of the many things I like about it.

Inspiration

Happy Hump day!!
It's got to that time in the week where we're all longing for the weekend and then it hits us, we still have 2 days of work left. however Wednesday is also my inspiration post day and I hope to bring a little inspiration to help you though the rest of the week. This weeks photos is a popular one at the moment but I still love it and felt the need to share it with everyone.

It's All About The Fur

Faux Fur is everywhere at the moment from bags to coats and hats to phone cases, everywhere you look someone is wearing fur and I really don't blame them. with all this cold weather everyone needs a little extra warmth and it's such an easy way to add a little extra to any outfit and also who doesn't like wrapping up in some fur over the winter months.
When it comes to photographing fur you can have a lot of fun with textures and layering. These where shoot with my 50mm lens in my living room/home studio and my main focus for this shoot was to experiment with the layering of the fur and the posing of my model.

My Inspiration

So its been a while since I've posted anything, I've been busy redesign my blog and its still a working progress, however I wanted to start blogging more and I know this is a bit late to be saying 2015 is the year I'm going to give weekly uploads and building my brand as we're now in February, yet I'm a girl with a plan and a dream. so as of today I am going to become better at blogging with what's going on in my life, not only with photo shoots but also lifestyle and it will all starts today with my first inspiration post.

Katy (Flower Girl)

Back in November I was lucky enough to do a shoot for Katy, a beautiful local up and coming model. The shoot took place at Staunton Country Park just out side Havant on a very cold day late November ( poor Katy was freezing by the end of it) however the shoot was still a huge success.
